We Believe AI Works Better
When People Understand It

About Us

From Chiang Mai,
Building for Thailand

Tawan Data grew out of a simple observation: Thai organisations were being asked to adopt AI tools without the foundational knowledge to use them well. The tools arrived, the expectations were set, but the people โ€” the accountants, the department heads, the change managers โ€” were left to work things out without adequate support.

Our founders had spent years consulting within Thai finance and operations teams, watching intelligent software get deployed and then quietly abandoned. The technology was not the problem. The missing ingredient was structured, patient education that matched where people actually were, not where vendors assumed they should be.

We opened our Chiang Mai office in 2021 and began working directly with finance departments, training teams, and leadership groups across Northern Thailand. Over time we developed a set of engagements โ€” workshops, consulting programmes, and coaching frameworks โ€” that reflect the real texture of Thai organisational life: the relationship structures, the preference for consensus, the respect for established process, and the genuine curiosity about where technology might help.

Every programme we offer starts with listening. We want to understand the specific environment before we recommend anything. That approach takes more time at the outset, but it produces changes that actually hold.

How We Think About Our Work

Clarity Over Speed

We do not rush organisations through AI adoption. Building genuine understanding takes time, and we think that time is well spent. A team that truly grasps what a tool does will use it far more effectively than one that was trained quickly and left to cope.

People Before Systems

Technology should serve the people who use it. When we assess a client's environment, we start with the team โ€” how they communicate, what they value, where they feel confident โ€” and then shape the technical recommendations around those realities.

Local Context First

Global AI frameworks rarely map cleanly onto Thai business realities. We draw on our direct experience within Thai organisations to ensure that recommendations are grounded, practical, and respectful of the way decisions actually get made here.

Continuous Refinement

We update our programmes regularly as AI tools evolve and as we learn from each client engagement. What we deliver today reflects current knowledge, not materials prepared years ago and left unchanged.

How We Work

Quality Standards & Protocols

Data Privacy Compliance

All client data is handled in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We conduct data handling reviews before any consulting engagement begins.

Structured Delivery Process

Every engagement follows a documented delivery process with defined milestones, check-in points, and a clear scope of work agreed before work begins.

Continuously Updated Content

Workshop and coaching materials are reviewed quarterly. When AI tools or regulations change in ways that affect our clients, we update our content accordingly.

Transparent Client Communication

We communicate clearly about scope, timelines, and outcomes. If something is outside our area, we say so rather than overextending our recommendations.

Thai Regulatory Alignment

Financial and operational recommendations are cross-referenced with the Revenue Department's guidelines and relevant Thai regulatory frameworks.

Post-Engagement Evaluation

We collect structured feedback at the close of every engagement to measure what worked and what can be improved for the next cohort.

Our Expertise

Practical AI Knowledge for Thai Organisations

Tawan Data operates at the intersection of artificial intelligence education and operational consulting. Our team draws on direct experience within Thai finance, HR, and operations functions โ€” giving us a working knowledge of the specific challenges that arise when intelligent tools are introduced into environments shaped by established culture and long-standing processes.

Our AI literacy programmes are designed for professionals across disciplines: finance officers encountering automated expense tools for the first time, marketing managers working with AI-driven analytics platforms, and HR directors shaping how their organisations communicate about technology change. Each programme builds from foundational concepts toward practical, role-specific application.

The financial operations consulting we offer reflects years of work alongside Thai accounting teams. We understand Thai accounting standards, the requirements of the Revenue Department, and the day-to-day realities of multi-entity finance management. AI tools are only useful if they integrate cleanly with existing reporting workflows โ€” that is always the starting point of our assessment.

Change leadership coaching acknowledges that the human dimension of AI adoption is often the most complex. When Tawan Data works with change managers and HR directors, we focus on the organisational dynamics that determine whether a new technology gets used or quietly set aside. Our coaching frameworks are adapted for Thai workplace culture, where trust, consensus, and communication style matter as much as any technical rollout plan.
